Building Our Custom Home |
| BEST HOME SCHOOLING Since we live only 8 miles from the construction site of our house under construction and I have a flexible work schedule, it is fairly easy to get to the property just about every day. I have been taking this unique opportunity for some father-son relationship building when I take Ashton out to the property with me. He is 5 years old and his mind is a sponge, just soaking up the new experience and learning things he possibly would never learn otherwise. We tend to hang out at the property for about 2 or so hours each day and I take the time to explain the parts of the house, the construction process and what the carpenters are currently doing. We are also taking the scraps and constructing a tree house together in the wooded part of the property. Every morning he wakes up all excited and asks me when we are leaving to go to the property. I am sure he will look back on this experience with many fond memories and I am glad I am able to have this time to build up this very important relationship.
