| CRAWL SPACE - CLEAN SPACE Over the last few years there has been increasing awareness of molds invading our homes. Damp and dirty crawl spaces are one of their favorite places to breed and grow. We decided to spend a little extra money and have a "clean space" installed in the crawl space of the house we are having built. The company envelops the entire crawl space in a thick white liner that is tough enough that it won't tear easily. It keeps all moisture away from the house. Not only does it help prevent mold from growing, it is useful for those who tend to have allergy problems. Additionally, because the crawl space remains clean and dry, some people even use it for additional storage. The white liner helps to brighten it as well. In this photo below you will see that they have wrapped the walls and the piers with the white liner. Towards the end of the construction they will come back and put the liner on the flooring.
