| EASY EDITING WITH LAMINATED HOUSE PLANS My sister worked for a house design firm and she gave me a wonderful suggestion. Laminated blueprints. I had an extra set our house plans made up for us and took them over to the copy store to be laminated (cost less than $10). We keep the set in the car and take it with us to the property to double check on the construction. When we wanted to make some slight alterations to the home we used a dry erase marker to draw in the proposed changes to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. The markings were easy to wipe off with a wet paper towel. Most house plans that are well used are dirty and ratty within a couple of weeks. Ours still look brand new after months of use. My builder was so impressed with my laminated plans that he is now considering doing the same for his future homes.
