TOILET TROUBLES

My wife and I have had rental properties for the last 10 years and by far the most common repairs that have been needed are with the toilets.  I guess that makes sense. There are a few toilets in each property and they are used multiple times each day.

I can't recall how many times I have had to go replace a flapper, check on a slow leak, adjust the valve or simply unclog a toilet.  Calling in a plumber is very expensive so I tried to do most of those jobs myself.

But I travel a lot and my time is valuable too so when we were designing this home, I put in a lot of research into the toilets.  I wanted to know if there were indeed better brands of toilets. We have 4 in the new house and I'm tired of jiggling handles and replaces flappers, etc.

There were a number of toilet review sites I checked out and surprising, the consensus was the same.  There is a toilet out there that is hands down the best reviewed and before now I had never heard of it.

The maker is *Toto* and surprisingly they weren't any more expensive than the pricier Kohler or American Standard toilets.

My builder was going to put in his standard toilet but I insisted that I get to pick that. Since I found Toto toilets on a website for the same price as what he would normally pay for the other brand, there was no problem.

I'm hoping that my toilet trouble days are now behind me.
