City lights begin to fade
as we drive toward the suburbs. Music flows out of the speakers as we try to think of something to say. Cool October night sky lies overhead as we travel along the interstate. I sit in the passenger seat watching you drive and smoke, wishing we can keep driving until the road ends. Sitting in my driveway still making small talk. I wonder if you'll kiss first, You sit there looking at me trying to think of what to do. Something goes off in my head. I lean over and kiss you. Chemistry, sparks fly between you and me. We just want to stay. Second date and it's getting late Wondering how it will end. Wishing time could stand still so this could never end. Falling in love as fast as we can. Nine months pass by full of joy, excitement, firsts, lasts, pain, confusion, understanding, and love. Our lives are intertwined now as we explore what the future holds. Sitting in your house watching the clock tick by. Holding other watching the sky outside your window as the stars begin to shine. Waiting for the clock to say that its time for me to leave. We just sit there listening to each other breathe. Time is an evil thing. Another date and it's getting late Wondering how it will end. Wishing time ccould stand still so this could never end. Falling in love as fast as we can. Suburb lights begin to fade as we drive toward te city. Conversation clows around the car with no music from the speakers. Warm summer night sky lies overhead as we travel along the interstate I sit in the same passenger seat as I always have been while I watch you smoke and drive. I want us to keep driving until the road ends.
