WHEN FEET GO PITTER PATTER

Father's Day is just around the corner so I thought I would share with
you what Ashton (our two month old) and I did to celebrate this
Mother's Day.
Ashton's hands and feet are so small and adorable but I know they
won't be tiny for long. I thought it would be special to have those
little feet forever memorialized for mom.
So I went to the hardware store and purchased a kit for making garden
stepping stones. When Athena was out running errands, I quick mixed
up a batch of the cement and poured it into the stepping stone mold.
I let it set for 20 minutes and then took Ashton outside and pressed
his little feet into the cement (his hands would not cooperate). I took
a
nail and etched "Mother's Day 2000" around the footprints and then hid
the cement in the shed to dry for a couple of days.
On Mother's Day I secretly placed the stone in the garden where Athena
would be sure to notice it. She thought it was a very meaningful gift
for her first Mother's Day as being a mom.
You don't have to have children to use this idea. While it would work
wonderfully for Father's Day you could use it for any occasion.
