~~~ From the Editor ~~~
This past weekend I took my family to the North Carolina Renaissance
Festival. I had been to one in California about a dozen years ago
but I had forgotten just how romantic they can be. The setting is
very "fairytale" and the music, costumes and pagaentry is something
almost any woman would love. And guys really like the jousting, bow
and arrows and other unique elements.
Almost every state now has a Renaissance Festival. Do a web search
and find one near you.
Have a smiling week. -- Michael
A Gift from the Heart . . .
**New** from LoveAffect.com's casual clothing line - "Sentients" are
our Kimono style multi-fit robes. An intimate gift deserves an
intimate message so they have embroidered on the inside over the
heart an "I Love You" message for that person closest to you.
Because the embroidery would show through (reversed of course)they
cover this over with their logo. Pronounced sen-chents and it
means: capable of knowing or perceiving feelings. You can't wear
this 100% cotton velour robe and not think of the message or the
person who gave it to you. Makes for a great gift. See them here
~~~ Contest ~~~
Thanks to everyone who submitted an entry for the "Romantic Tools"
contest. I put the four best entries on my site. You can read them
here: http://www.theromantic.com/stories/tools/main.htm
There is no contest this week as I prepare for the next "Quest for
the Gold". It is like an internet scavenger hunt where you solve
riddles and hunt for clues. It is always my most popular contest.
To enter this weeks contest, send an e-mail to: tipofweek@aol.com
and put "tools" in the subject line and in the body share your
story.
The winning story will win a trip to the prize vault and so will
THREE people who cast votes.
TheRomantic.com's ever growing PRIZE VAULT is filled with books,
several board games including Romantic Sensations, An Enchanting
Evening and others, CDs, dance lessons and other fun stuff at

There was such a huge response to this offer last week that it has
been decided to offer it again. Additionally, the game will come
out on CD very soon.
Download Couples Game for FR-EE
Board games for couples are really fun and can bring two people
close together. I recently came across something that takes it up a
notch. It is a computer game called Bliss. You plug in your
romantic likes and dislikes, what you are wearing and other personal
details. It can play romantic music for you throughout the game
(you can even choose your own music).
You'll love it. The trial version of the game can be downloaded at
no cost at http://www.gamesforloving.com/romanticspecial.htm

~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~
Pop-a-rific
by Ryan Colgan
http://www.TheRomantic.com/
For Valentine's Day one year, I filled printed off 50 different
ClipArt Hearts in color, each one personalized with a reason why I
love my sweetheart.
I then cut each one out, rolled them up, and put each one into the
colorful variety of balloons. I made a sign that I hung across our
small living room, "Why I love you, Jennifer".
Our living room is sunk in 70's style, so when she came home, she
couldn't see the balloons, she could only see the sign. The look of
puzzlement quickly turned into pleasure when she came across the
balloons, and she had such a good time popping and reading and
popping and hugging. It was my best Valentine's day, and hers as
well, thanks to those balloons!
