~~~ From the Editor ~~~
Over the years I have run a few "Quest for the Gold" contests and I
get tons of emails from people telling me how fun they are and ask
for me to do it again.
This is the first week in a new 5 week contest. If you like
puzzles, riddles and scavenger hunts, you will like the contest.
Plus, there are great prizes.
Have a winning week. -- Michael
Did you know that Christian romance novels are one of the fastest
growing segments of the book industry? Publishers are scrambling to
find new authors who can write romance novels that have wonderful
romantic stories without the lust and extra-marital sins that typify
the majority of novels on market.
Some writers for the Christian romance market earn over six figures
a year. It is easier to get published than you think. Here are
some tips: http://www.theromantic.com/romancetips.htm
~~~ Contest ~~~
This is the first week for my new "Quest for the Gold" contest.
Over the next five weeks you will have to solve various riddles and
quests. At the end of each week you will receive a clue. Use the
five weekly clues (or as many as you could get) to solve the final
puzzle.
There will be weekly winners who will win a trip to the prize vault.
Those who solve the final puzzle will be in a drawing for a $100
Barnes and Noble gift certificate.
Here is how you start this week's quest.
What have Athena and I decided to name the house we are building?
Answer is on my website.
Once you find the answer replace the _____ below with the name (all
lowercase). Don't use spaces.
http://www.theromantic.com/________.htm If the answer is correct, the web page will lead you to the next step. If it is wrong, you will get an *OOPS* page. At the end of this week's quest you will be told how to let me know you solved it so I can enter you into the drawing. Have fun! TheRomantic.com's ever growing PRIZE VAULT is filled with books, several board games including Romantic Sensations, An Enchanting Evening and others, CDs, dance lessons and other fun stuff at http://www.theromantic.com/prizes.htm ................................................................ ~~~ Sponsor ~~~ Riddle: How can you give a Christmas present that is Intriguing, Mysterious, Elegant, and Romantic... all at the same time? We have the solution: http://www.TheRomantic.com/christmas.htm ............................................................... ~~~ Tip of the Week ~~~ The Anniversary Game by Joe Strange http://www.TheRomantic.com/ My bride and I have two rituals we have been doing for at least ten years. The first is that we kiss after we pray for each meal. This inspires our children that Mommy and Daddy love each other. Our friends are often inspired as well, saying "We should do that too". The second tradition is our anniversary. We started dating on September 1st and were also married on September 1st. It has become an ongoing romantic game to see who can say Happy Anniversary on the First of each month. We leave notes, answering machine messages and sometimes just answer the phone Happy Anniversary, to the surprise of some, just to win the game. It reminds us each month of our love and commitment to each other. I don't know who's ahead in the count. I do know that we each have won the game. ...................................................................
