My boyfriend brought up this idea when we had trouble finding something for each other for Christmas.

We decided that one of us would pick a store for both of us to go shopping at. The trick was to spend 20 dollars on anything that was worth giving or was simply interesting. For the first try, we picked Rite-Aid Drug Store as our primary target.

Both of us bought things, all adding up to about 20 dollars. We shared them together during our first Christmas together. Though some of it was useless, or really just plain childish, it came out to be an interesting experience.

The most memorable item I received was a kite. Since I really never had played with a kite, we spent one summer afternoon making the kite (though it was difficult), and flying it at a nearby park. 

The next time, I picked Ralph's supermarket as our target. But instead of buying things at different times, we went on a shopping spree together. We parted at the entrance, and went our ways.

The only rule was that at least one of the items we got for each other had to represent our love for each other. Of all the interesting things in the store, he gave me a very sweet item: a candle that had the number “1.” He explained to me as he gave it to me, that I was number ONE to him.

We have so much fun doing this. Anyone looking for a something unique, must give this a try!
