| PERK ME UP

For Christmas the year after my son was born I bought my husband the
following:
a mug with a photo of our son on it
a silver tablespoon with his initials engraved
a pound of specialty coffee
a coffee grinder (the electric kind)
(and I suggested to my mother that an ideal gift for us that year would be
an espresso maker).
I then hid each item in a different place and put clues out so that it was
like a treasure hunt with a little gift in each spot.
Since then, I try to buy various specialty coffee beans whenever I think
he needs a pick-me-up.
(By the way, I don't drink coffee!)
