My husband was in the Navy and three weeks after we were married, he was deployed to Italy. We missed each other horribly.  I wrote a letter to him every single day. While he enjoyed getting the letters, he said the package I sent touched his heart. I included snacks, photos and some little novelty items but one handmade gift meant more to him than all the other things.

I took a large pill bottle and wrote little notes that I folded and stuffed inside. I made a label for the outside of the bottle for the 'missing me' blues.  He was able to open a note from me every day. Some were silly, some serious but it reached across the miles and let him know I was thinking about him daily.
