My husband and I write our favorite things about each other on red glass balls with white paint.  We put them on the tree together and explain why each separate characteristic is special to us.  Then, for the remainder of the Christmas season, we look at the tree and not only remember the spirit of the season, but also exactly why it is so meaningful.
