When I was first married , my husband and I did not have money for ornaments or cute little ornaments our child made at school. So, we took the top of our wedding cake and used it on the top of our tree.

And then we hung the doves and cherubs that were used to decorate the cake around the tree. Our  wedding cake decorations were our tree decorations. For years to come, the ornaments were reminders of our special day as well as a holiday tradition.
