One year for Christmas, my loved one did a "12 days of Christmas Stocking".  Every morning I would wake up to a stocking with something in it. 

One morning it was filled with Hershey's Kiss', another morning there was a gift certificate to the movies, another day was a gift certificate to a day at the spa, one was a years membership paid at my favourite gym, and so on.  Every day the stocking had something different in it until the 12th day when I received an engagement ring. 

Now every year, he still carries on with this tradition, I just don't get that diamond ring on the 12th day.
