A couple of years ago, my partner and I were at a Christmas Festival of Trees. We saw all kinds of beautifully decorated trees there, but my partner complained that there were not any "man" trees. 

My kids and I then went home and we built him a "man" tree.  We purchased a small craft tree, nuts, bolts, small pliers and some gold chain.  We glue gunned the tools and things onto the tree, the chain was strung on like a garland, and my daughter constructed a star for the top of the tree out of small brackets.  He was thrilled with his tree.  He took it to work with him and he brings it out every year.
