OPENING THE ULTIMATE GIFT

Several years ago, I started a "tradition" in my family at Christmas-time. In the midst of the bustle and excitement of opening presents, I had each of my children choose one present to hold back. 

We put these gifts on the top of the entertainment center (I wish we had a fireplace mantle, but we have to make do with what we have!) and leave them there until Easter.

The lesson I am trying to teach is that, while God gave us the ultimate gift of His Son at Christmas, it wasn't until Easter that He "opened" it up and let us see how wonderful the gift truly is!
