Extra Special Father's Day Ideas |
| TREASURE TRUNK submitted by: Lindy This year for Father's Day I found a trunk, a small one that can fit on a table. Because of the difficult time my husband is going through I thought he could use a treasure box. Each child (we have 13 - 10 of them at home) put something in that was very special to them. One son put in his favorite fishing lure, another his favorite key chain from his collection that says friends on the front of the bear. I put in a shell that was on our lighthouse wedding cake and a magnet of the lighthouse he proposed to me at. The kids drew pictures using a quill pen and homemade ink. Now he can add more treasures as he receives them. When he needs a pick me up he can go in his treasure box and know he is loved very much. I plan on adding things to it also through the years like the notes I write him each day for his lunch. He is my treasure!!! |
