| BINDING THE BEST
submitted by: Teresa Edmonson-Hodgson
In my last marriage I was blessed to be a stepmother. My husband kept
practically everything his boys (4 & 6) had brought home from school
in a big box in our closet. From having gone through this with my
son I knew that eventually most of it would just get thrown away and
what a shame it is.
So I bought a 3" binder and some plastic protective
sheets from the local office supply store. Covered
the binder in a sports themed fabric and glued on
letters spelling "Happy Fathers Day" and the year.
The boys and I sat down with the box of school stuff
and decided what should go in the book. We used a combination of
scrap-booking techniques and the plastic protector pages and quickly
filled the book with that years memories.
My husband was so touched he cried!
