I saved the petals of all the flowers that Chris gave me over the 2 years that we were dating and engaged.  I kept the petals in a small vase, and the aroma was wonderful.  On our wedding day, I placed the petals of the flowers from Chris into the flower girl basket for her to toss instead of buying more.  I placed a small note in the program to let our guests know where the flower petals were from.  Everyone commented on how sweet of an idea it was.
