While my husband and I were engaged he lived in Mongolia and I lived in California.  While on a camping trip he collected various flower petals and dried them.  He used them to make a collage on a piece of paper.  Each different type of flower stood for something.  Along with his artwork he sent the explanation of each flower's meaning and a letter expressing his love.  

It was so wonderful to receive this and to look at it hanging in my room.  I could just picture him tramping through the woods picking flower petals for me!  It was a piece of Mongolia for me to keep and certainly a piece of his heart!
