A BIT ON THE WACKY SIDE submitted by Kristine Jenkins For our college formal a few years ago, my date and I made a bet to see
who could come up with the wackiest flowers to give as a bouquet and boutonniere. I thought I had him beat with a little arrangement of purple
alstromerias-- until he showed up with six *stalks* of orange birds of paradise! Not only did the fun and creative flowers make us laugh then,
but they still do whenever we see them now! We even used them in our wedding decorations. So my tip is for couples to look for unusual
flowers that express their playfulness...
