When our daughter and son were young my husband and I planted a "rose bed" full of different varieties of roses in all colors.  As soon as the roses began blooming, EVERY Sunday morning my husband would take our children and they would pick me a budding rose to wear to church. 

Being the only person wearing a rose every Sunday I was teased about being the "rose lady" but I wore each of my roses proudly.  Not only was my husband showing his love for me but he was also teaching our small children different ways of showing love.  Our children are now 25 and 24 and the four of us still remember and talk of our "roses of love bed".
