Gardening has been a romantic theme for me since childhood. When I was younger, I met a lovely couple who enjoyed gardening.

One year for her  anniversary, my friend cleared a pathway in the edge of their wooded  property and lined the edges with pink azaleas. At the end of the pathway, he set a garden bench and added a few paving stones to level the area. They used the path for walks in the evening, to have a place to sit and write or paint, and for meditation and prayer. I always felt they were such a loving  example for sharing their love for each other in their garden.
