My beloved and I are often apart due to to his public safety career, and one of the things I miss most about him is his scent. To alleviate that, I have a small drawer that I keep a shirt or two of his that he had given to me without laundering: usually either an undershirt from under his uniform or an old tshirt that he had worn for mowing the lawn. On especially lonely nights, I would pull out a shirt an sleep in it, and feel his warmth around me.
