My fiance and I are apart for now and we keep the fire's burning. He is in Jamaica and I in the States. While he readies our house, I stay here and work while waiting and saving money until we marry. 

 

It is hard for us to be apart, and we are longing to be together.

 

We talk on the phone and he describes the night - the feel of the air and sand, the stars, the moon. I can hear the sea and the tree frogs chirping. He then tells me in beautiful detail the sensual and romantic night we will have there on the beach and what we will do.

 

We often talk of the places we will walk, the water we will splash in, and the places and ways we will make love when I get there.
