SEE
HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU

Making Up truly is an art form. Very often
it is the best part of an "animated" discussion. My hubby and
I have not been seeing eye to eye on a very emotional issue. We try not
to go to bed angry but failed on this occasion. Of course our bad moods
were waiting by the bedside to be picked up and carried throughout the
day. This was only made worse because my DH is facing a layoff in the
coming months.
At the end of the day I had run out to my stress relief, art lessons,
and did not return home until Bill had gone to bed. I walked into the
kitchen expecting a mess but found a pristine kitchen with flowers on
the counter. What made this all the more special was the note in front
of the vase. My non-lyrical mate had decided to write me a clever poem
that read, "Roses are Red, And I know I am stressed, I want you to
know, you're still the BEST! S.H.M.I.L.Y. I love you." Now how
could I stay mad after that <grin>. What we don't realize is that
the little things we do make the biggest impression. In this case a
dozen roses and candy would not have cut it. It was a token done out of
character that melted my heart.
