Knowing that he checks his email quite often, I took a photo of myself with my lip poked out, holding a sign that read "I'm sorry!", scanned it, used my software to cut it into pieces and emailed him a piece every hour the next day.  He printed each email out and put the "puzzle" together.  He was so happy to get the picture from me and said that a bunch of the guys were quite envious.
