LET'S NOT MAKE A DEAL submitted by: Karlene Haines Since my husband is an engineer, he is a practical kind of guy. On one wedding anniversary many years ago, he came up with a special idea. He led me blindfolded to the kitchen where each of the children stood ready to "Let's Make a Deal", a game show from the 1960's. My husband was tickled pink with his creativity. I was non-plussed as after much wheeling and dealing I ended up with my gifts: wooden clothespins, a new ironing board cover, and (drum roll, please!), a new ironing board!
